High manganese carbon steel SAE 1524 (UNS G15240) to SAE J403 JUN2014, a chemistry-only grade for semifinished products for forging, hot rolled and cold finished bars, plates, strip, sheets and seamless tubing. Carbon 0.19-0.25% and manganese 1.35-1.65%.
