EN 10083-2 C45 is a Carbon Steel grade: A medium carbon steel for quenching and tempering to EN 10083-2:2006 (steel number 1.0503, non alloy quality steel). Supplied as semi-finished products, bars, rod, wide flats, hot rolled strip, sheet and plate, and forgings. Quenched and tempered tensile strength 700 to 850 MPa for ruling sections up to 16 mm. Typical applications: Shafts, gears, bolts, machine parts, tools.
