AISI D2 KNL is a Tool & Die Steels grade: D2 KNL is a premium quality AISI D2 grade cold work tool steel produced by Kalyani (KNL), India. High carbon high chromium cold work tool steel. Excellent wear resistance, high compressive strength and good dimensional stability during hardening. Equivalent to DIN 1.2379, Cr12MoV.
Typical applications: Blanking dies, forming dies, thread rolling dies, punches, shear blades, gauges, broaches, drawing dies.
