JIS G4053 SNCM220 is an Alloy Steel grade: Nickel-chromium-molybdenum case hardening steel with excellent core toughness and surface hardness after carburising. Used for gears, shafts and automotive transmission components.
Typical applications: Nickel-chromium-molybdenum case-hardening (carburizing) steel; automotive bearings, drive shafts, gears, and components requiring high wear resistance with impact-resistant core.
