Yield by the 0.2 percent offset method. Hardness is HBW unless otherwise indicated; equivalent Rockwell is permitted. For shapes of section thickness 1/2 in. [12.5 mm] or less, 30 percent elongation is acceptable. For extruded shapes of Cr-Ni grades in Condition A, yield 170 MPa and tensile 480 MPa minimum apply.
